Contractor Parking

All contractor parking surface lots are full. Unfortunately, we cannot issue additional permits at this time. If you need to park on campus, please check our visitor parking garage locations and rates.

To make a request for parking registration, please fill out this form at least five days in advance.

Once approved, you will get notification of when and where you can pick up your credentials.

All parking rules and regulations that apply for GW staff and students also apply for contractors. This includes parking restrictions and payment of citations for parking violations. For any questions regarding contractor parking, please email [email protected].

Cancelling Parking

The contractor must cancel their parking by providing 30 days written notice to [email protected]. A permit is considered in use while in the possession of the contractor and charges will continue to accrue if the permit is not cancelled properly when no longer needed. Contractors with long-term assignments must complete and sign all Colonial Parking required forms in order to begin the cancellation process. The processing of personnel forms does not complete this process.

If a long-term contractor fails to cancel their parking, they will be subject to payment of any/all accrued payments due. No exceptions will be made regarding collection of any/all parking fees that are due.

Contractor Payment Plan for the Foggy Bottom Campus

All contract parking will be based on a calendar month basis only.

Requests for half-month rates will be considered on a per-occasion basis. All such requests shall be calculated at half the monthly rate, and shall run between the 1st and the 15th, or the 16th through the end of the month.

Daily & Long-Term Contractor Parking

Contractors performing short-term jobs at the university should utilize the visitor parking garages whenever possible. If contractor vehicles cannot fit into a garage, or will require parking for two weeks or more, please reach out to Parking Services in the G St. parking garage (2028 G St., NW) for accommodations. Parking on the surface lots is available on a limited basis and would require a permit from the Parking Services Office. Loading docks are intended for immediate load/unload only and would require a special permit and prior approval from Facilities, Planning, Construction, and Management (FPCM), and the Parking Services Office.

There is no grace period for the renewal of parking permits. Vehicles parked on GW’s parking facilities which do not display a current, valid parking permit are subject to university ticketing, towing and/or immobilization
